Improving Educational Outcomes

I will champion policies that will:

  1. Promote smaller more manageable classroom sizes.

  2. Keep public classrooms free from political agendas and inappropriate content.

  3. Ensures that our educational system provides a path towards self reliance and greater opportunity.

  4. Protect students from inappropriate and illicit content in their libraries and classrooms. Students should not be exposed to content or causes that contradict the teachings within their own homes.

  5. Protect a parent's right to be informed and involved in positive ways.

  6. Provide greater freedom for parents to chose the right academic setting for their children: public, charter, private or home.

Maintaining Safe Communities

Healthy communities are the result of quality education, strong family ties and the responsible exercise of constitutional freedoms.

With a declining sense of moral responsibility, we see violent crimes escalating across the United States, particularly in Urban areas. This pattern for increased violent crime has no place in Utah.

We can keep our streets safe and maintain appropriate law and order. To do this we need to:

  1. Support our law enforcement. We need law enforcement that is well trained, prepared and adequately staffed to serve our communities.

  2. Be more proactive in how we protect children and minors from cyber threats and other crimes against children.

  3. Provide our law enforcement with the right tools and resources to keep everyone safe.

We must make sure Utah never becomes a sanctuary for criminal activity.

Sustainable Growth

Growth should be a blessing not a burden to our communities. In order for this to be the case, growth needs to be sustainable.

  1. Pioneer Crossing and other state managed roads need to be scaled for demand. This needs to happen now (well actually it needed to happen 5 year ago).

  2. Infrastructure needs to be at the forefront of development, not placed on the back-burner.

  3. We need state leaders that know how to inspire cooperation, motivate progress and ensure positive outcomes.

  4. Prioritization for infrastructure improvements should not be based on political favors, but on measured needs and projected growth.

  5. Smaller cities should not be overlooked when state funds are being used to further develop infrastructure. A need is a need. All cities deserve fair treatment and support.
