A Message From Garrett

I don’t pretend to be an expert in all things, which is why my top priority will always be to listen to my community before I cast my vote on behalf of my district.

My Goals:

  • Education that provides value and a path to success for our children.

  • Roads that serve the needs of our communities. Critical Infrastructure needs to grow faster than our population.

  • Reduced government spending and increased economic opportunity (particularly for small businesses).

  • The Preservation of Utah’s heritage.

  • The protection of our constitutionally protected freedoms.

I’m tired of:

  • Infrastructure lagging behind growth.

  • Watching from the sidelines as too many of the best, most engaged and most inspirational teachers burn out and leave.

  • Overreaching, overspending, over-regulating and over-taxing political games played at our expense.

Volunteerism and Involvement

We need more than just good promises, we need to be anxiously engaged in good works.

Causes my wife and I support and are engaged in:

  • Parent volunteerism in schools. We love spending time in the schools our children attend. Schools and teachers need more support, we all can be part of the solution.

  • Scholarship and relief programs for at risk and underserved students. We love supporting programs for underserved students, time, money and tangible goods can all make a difference. (click here for more information)

  • Local law enforcement. During the anti-police movements of 2020 we provided free lunches to local police and fire departments to voice our support. Our communities are some of the safest in the nation, our first responders deserve our appreciation and support.

  • Affordable housing and self-reliance programs. There are so many ways to make a difference in our own neighborhoods.

Garrett’s Bio

Husband. Father. Small Business Owner. Philanthropist.

In 2002, Garrett relocated to Utah County as a BYU-bound student and quickly fell in love with the blend of safety, hospitality, and opportunity. Following a 2-year mission in Paris, he began working for the Murdock Auto Group to support his educational expenses. After graduation, his professional journey continued with three dynamic years at Qualtrics. Later, he and his wife ventured into small business ownership. Garrett’s career successes have been built on his ability to resolve conflicts and craft resolutions that promote growth and progress.

Garrett and his wife have donated time and money to many great causes. They actively support scholarship and other scholastic opportunities for underserved students, are frequent supporters of the Granite Education Foundation, and donate regularly to other charities and non-profits. They also spend 80+ hours per school year serving in their children’s schools.

Garrett understands the needs of small business owners, he understands the challenges of raising children in these uncertain times. Today, he stands devoted to preserving our cherished freedoms and opportunities. He comes prepared to motive progress and inspire positive change.
